WEDNESDAY'S PRESS TALK
Kevin Betsy could be on his way out of Ashton Gate before the new season kicks off in August. Bristol City's 30-year-old right-winger has emerged as a possible target for London clubs Millwall and Brentford. Although Betsy is under contract to City for next season, Robins manager Gary Johnson may well be prepared to let him go if the price is right. League One Millwall were linked with Betsy during the January transfer window earlier this year and Lions boss Kenny Jackett is set to renew his interest. Jackett is keen to recruit a right-sided midfielder before the start of the season and has money to spend on strengthening his squad. Betsy has also been linked with League Two Brentford, where he is being touted as a possible replacement for Charlie Ide.

Bristol City have given Egyptian club Al-Ahly a week to decide over Emad Meteb's proposed move to Ashton Gate. Robins boss Gary Johnson sanctioned the £1.5million bid for the 25-year-old earlier this month, but City have not been able to conclude a deal with the Cairo giants and are growing increasingly frustrated. It is reported that an agreement was close last week, only for talks to stall over payment of the fee for the hard-working frontman who starred in his country's Africa Cup of Nations win in February.
Clubcall
Nottingham Forest insist striker Nathan Tyson is "going nowhere" following interest from several rival Championship clubs. Bristol City saw a £750,000 bid for Tyson rejected last month and the Robins have been tipped to make a fresh offer. Norwich have also been linked with the forward, but Forest chief executive Mark Arthur says Tyson is not for sale. "Nathan Tyson is going nowhere, he is a big part of what we are trying to build for the future," Arthur said.
