Bristol City boss Gary Johnson is plotting a Euro 2008 transfer raid. And the Londoner has confirmed he will be tracking specific targets when he arrives in Switzerland and Austria later this week. City's manager will be joined by his brother, chief scout Pete Johnson, at the championships as they step up their search for new signings to bolster a squad which only narrowly missed out on promotion to the Premier League last season.

Bristol City boss Gary Johnson is looking forward to locking horns with Peterborough counterpart Darren Ferguson in the Carling Cup.
The Robins will entertain Posh in the first round in mid-August and Johnson feels the encounter has a touch of glamour about it. He said: "It's a good draw. It's a home fixture and it will generate some interest bearing in mind Peterborough's manager Darren Ferguson is son of Sir Alex."

Everton are rumoured to be interested in Bristol City youngster Christian Ribeiro. The 18-year-old has represented Wales at Under-17, Under-19 and Under-21 level and has progressed through the youth system at Ashton Gate. Robin's manager Gary Johnson is reluctant to let the young defender leave, for Ribeiro has worked hard this season and is near to breaking into the first team.

Gary Johnson insists Bristol City have not received an official approach from Everton for Wales Under-21 starlet Christian Ribeiro. The Toffees are reported to be keen to sign the 18-year-old defender after monitoring his progress alongside Aaron Ramsey in various Wales representative sides since the age of 16. The Robins boss said: "I have heard the rumours but there has been no official approach from Everton."
