SUPERB OFFER FOR SCHOOLS
Schools, clubs and other organisations can make group bookings for Bristol City matches at a discounted rate in the 2010/11 season.
One free ticket will be offered for every TEN booked eg if two adults and 18 children book for a game, then the club are charged for the 18 under-16s only.
The offer applies for every Bristol City home game and what's more, groups who make a booking could also be flagbearers for the day - up to 12 youngsters will form a guard of honour as the teams walk out onto the pitch. This offer is on a first-come, first-served basis only. Other matchday opportunities include half-time flagbearers and the chance for your group to parade around the pitch.
The club was awarded the Family Excellence Award this year by the Football League and head of marketing Ed Furniss says: "We saw just under 2,000 young fans attend matches last season as part of group sales and are very keen to increase this figure in the new season.
"We are working closely with schools and junior clubs across the Bristol region and beyond and know from experience how much children (and their parents) enjoy being part of the matchday experience.
"The flagbearing opportunity itself proved very popular and we would advise schools/clubs to book early for this, to avoid disappointment.
"We have also extended opportunities to half-time this season to ensure every group who attends Ashton Gate feels part of the action."
NB There must be one adult for every ten children in each group. Responsibility for the welfare of each child rests with the organisation booking the tickets. Flagbearing opportunities are subject to the organisation making the booking being or becoming a club partner.
