Families are the key beneficiaries of Bristol City's latest round of season ticket prices for the 2010/11 campaign, with supporters once again rewarded with excellent savings against matchday prices.

The club has been delighted with the response to its early bird offer which has now closed with more than 6,000 sales, and would like to thank all those fans who have shown their support by purchasing in this period.

Season tickets go back on sale from 9am Wednesday, March 10th with a new set of prices which see rates in the Atyeo, Dolman and Williams stands frozen or reduced against the comparative stage last season.

Meanwhile the Wedlock Stand continues to benefit from one of the cheapest tickets in the Championship, with adults paying just £285.

The club - which was this year awarded the Family Excellence Award by the Football League - has either held or made a minimal rise in the family ticket category from the early bird offer. A limited number of family tickets will be available, priced from just £570 - allowing families to watch every league game next season from just £6.20 each! Families are defined as close relatives.

In addition, under-16s season tickets start from only £100 and free admission is once again available to under-7s when purchased with a full paying adult.

Bristol City chairman Steve Lansdown says: "Our aim is to encourage families to come to Ashton Gate together, build our support for the future while at the same time making watching Bristol City affordable to our most loyal supporters. I believe the season ticket offers achieve that aim."

A finance option - provided by Zebra Finance - will again be available, allowing supporters to spread the cost of their season ticket across five monthly instalments, interest-free, subject to a £15 admin charge.

The initial offer is open to all 2009/10 season card holders and club members only from Wednesday, March 10th until May 31st. Non-members wishing to buy a season card should first pay for a 2009/10 membership (£20 adults, £5 under-16s, £40 family - two adult, two under-16s).

Renewals are simple, with season card holders able to use their current smart card for next season.

Season cards can be bought or renewed online 24 hours a day via bcfc.co.uk; by phoning 0871 222 66 66 (option1) or in person at Ashton Gate Stadium.

Existing season card holders have until May 31st to secure their seat for the 2010/11 campaign before they are released for general sale.

FAQs FROM SUPPORTERS

Can I transfer from my existing seat to a new seat in the early bird offer period?
Yes, but this will be subject to an administration fee of £10 covering issue of a new smart card. In addition, the only seats available will be those not currently in use by a 2009/10 season card holder. As a result seats are NOT available for transfer into the Wedlock Stand or Premier Seating.

I am student or under-21 but when booking online the price defaults to adult rate. What can I do?
For operational reasons student and under-21 rates are not currently available online and when purchasing via the internet these individuals will find this price defaulted to adult rate. To book your seat at student or under-21 rates it is up to you to provide either 1) in the case of students, original documented proof from the college/university you will be enrolled at in 2010/11 (no photocopies or NUS cards allowed) or 2) if under-21 only, proof of age, before your card is activated/issued for the new season. Payments can still be made at the current rate at the club ticket office but no cards will be issued or activated until this documentation is shown eg you can book your seat now, but should you have to wait until July for the appropriate documentation etc that is when your card will become available.

I booked my card using my Barclaycard Football Card last season which allowed me to pay off my season card at 0% interest. Can I do this again this year?
Barclaycard Football Card is no longer available commercially. But we have been informed by Barclaycard that supporters who hold this card will again be eligible for 0% interest on all purchases of £250 and above - please note, however, that all season cards must be purchased individually so this offer will not apply to various concession rates of below £250. We advise that you check with your card issuer before making payment as Barclaycard are a third party and terms and conditions are subject to change. Alternatively you can pay off your season card over five months at any amount via the interest-free payment scheme (subject to £15 admin charge).

My and my mate regularly watch the game together and bring our children. Why can't we buy a family ticket and sit together?
The family ticket offer is specifically targeted at family members or close relatives and is intended to encourage families to come to Ashton Gate together and build the club's support for the future. The offer is strictly limited on a first-come, first-served basis and ID may be requested by the ticket office to confirm eligbility. Decisions made by the ticket office are final and subject to their discretion.

I am a City Foundation member. Last season I was able to claim a £10 refund. Can I do this again this year?
From 2010/11 City Foundation subscribers who are season card holders will receive a £10 gift card (for use in the Megastore and ticket office) and an extra FIVE loyalty points. A £10 refund will not be available from 2010/11.

I am a non-member. Can I still buy a season ticket?
Yes, but you should purchase a club membership first. Prices are £20 adult, £5 under-16 or £40 family. The reason we ask for this fee is to reward the loyalty shown by existing season card holders and members. Of course, if you become a season card holder you will get the same financial benefit next year!

I am an existing season card holder - will I be given a new smart card for 2010/11?
No, if you are an existing season card holder and you renew for next season you can use your smart card again for entry in 2010/11 - simple and easy as that, so keep it safe! The only time we issue a new card to existing season card holders is when the details on the card have to change ie change of seat or category, or name. A £10 charge may be made in this circumstance. A new smart card will only be issued to NEW season card holders who upgrade from club membership.

I am an existing season ticket holder. Will my existing seat be kept for me for next season?
Yes, but only if you renew your seat by May 31st. After this date all unclaimed seats for 2010/11 will be released for general sale.

Why do I get charged a '£15 admin charge' when joining the interest-free payment plan?
The £15 fee is charged by Bristol City Football Club to cover the cost of processing documentation to allow you take out the interest-free facility. No interest is charged on the actual repayment itself.

If you have a question has not been answered here, please call the ticket office on 0871 222 66 66 (option 1) and they will be happy to help you.
