IT'S BEEN A BUSY FEW WEEKS

Posted on: Fri 28 Oct 2011

Well, it¹s been a busy time down at Ashton Gate over the last few weeks, I would like to welcome the new manager Derek Mcinnes and his assistant Tony Docherty to the club. I was lucky enough to meet him on Thursday where he asked me to bring my boots for training on Friday to which I replied "I wouldn¹t be much use to you as I can¹t get a game for Bath city at the moment."

It¹s been all change for us in the Commercial Department at the moment where we have a new 'budding footballer¹ in new Commercial Director Kevin Smith, who joined the club 3 months ago and already has helped us win a 5-a-side tournament in Brislington!

We have also had a whole new refurbishment to our office and we have also been joined by the Supporter Sales team and the Event Sales team so as you can imagine, there is plenty of banter flying about.

I was up at Frankie and Benny¹s at Cribbs Causeway on Thursday as we are launching a brand new Bristol City Junior Membership Club. It was great to see their newly upgraded restaurant, it looked stunning and I even went back on Sunday for dinner with the kids where the hospitality was brilliant, as was the food.

If you, or anyone you know is Under 16 and interested in all the great benefits, including over 40% discount on tickets, join the Frankie & Benny¹s City Reds at www.cityreds.co.uk.

I am a big user of twitter and it¹s interesting (because I¹m nosey) to see what other people are doing, so it was a massive shock when someone tweeted me regarding what someone had posted on the OTIB fans forum. They had their child as our mascot for the Birmingham City match and they were saying how much they enjoyed their day and it was a day that their little girl will never ever forget. It¹s really nice to know that we here in the Commercial Dept are doing our jobs well and people are speaking highly of us .

We also have places available in our hospitality restaurant for the Burnley game at a cost of £65 (+ VAT) pp which includes : 3 course meal, Premier seating , Matchday programme and car parking, And an added bonus for this game is 11 players will be attending the restaurant after the game to present their shirt sponsor with their shirt, Players including Louis Carey, Jamie Mcallister and Liam Fontaine and to round off a great day you will even get a phone call from yours truly just to make sure you had a great
day.
