Signed in summer of 2008 from Ipswich Town for an undisclosed fee.
Began his career at Hereford United before being signed by Gary Johnson, then manager of Yeovil Town. Enjoyed Conference and FA Trophy success before a £250,000 move to West Ham United in 2004.
A short loan spell at Ipswich Town was turned permanent two years later. But several injuries set him back at Portman Road and, now fit again, Gavin has renewed acquaintances with Gary Johnson at Ashton Gate.
