Stephen Henderson suffered a narrow 1-0 defeat playing for Republic of Ireland Under-21s in Switzerland last night.

The City goalkeeper impressed for the Irish Under-21s, who were playing for nothing but pride in their Euro qualifier in Lugano.

The only goal of the game came just after half-time when an unstoppable curling shot from Fabien Frei found the net.

Stephen will now travel with the Irish squad to Turkey for the final Under-21 qualifer of the campaign on Tuesday.
