Louis Carey and Cole Skuse are both expected to be fit to face Scunthorpe United next weekend.
The international break seems to have come at the right time for City to finally ease their injury nightmare.
With no fixture this weekend, Keith Millen has had vital time to get his players to gel on the training ground.
And he will also be able to call on the services of skipper Louis and his stand-in Cole Skuse for the Glanford Park trip on September 11th.
Boss Keith told bcfc.co.uk: "It's been a long road back for Louis from the freak accident he had in the summer but the heel is fine now and he's come through two reserve matches unscathed.
"Cole should also be in contention for the Scunthorpe match after recovering from his knee problem."
Christian Ribeiro has pulled out of the Wales Under-21s as he finally looks to put his back injury to bed, whilst fellow Welshman Lewin Nyatanga is taking the first steps into rehabilitating his knee complaint.
Danny Haynes remains wrapped in cotton wool after City turned down the option of a reserve game yesterday because the striker is not yet ready for a run-out.
"We don't want to risk anything with Danny and make things worse," added City's manager.
Nicky Maynard and James Wilson (both knee) remain sidelined long-term, whilst loanee Sam Vokes is due back from a hamstring tear in October.
