Posted on: Wed 25 Aug 2010

Top film director Kirk Jones is returning to Ashton Gate this week to hold further auditions for his new film project.

The filmmaker - Waking Ned, Nanny McPhee, Everybody's Fine - is looking for young actors who live in the Bristol area for a new movie based on the club's proposed new stadium. See background story here.

The production will be looking for young boys aged between nine and 12 who have grown up in Bristol. A Bristol accent and interesting character is a must. No acting experience is necessary.

Kirk - who grew up in the area and is a Bristol City season ticket holder - will be assisted by experienced casting director Pippa Hall, who found children for the Billy Elliot, Nanny McPhee and Narnia movies.

The latest set of auditions will take place in the Evening Post Dolman Exhibition Hall on Thursday 26h and Friday 27th August between 11am-4pm. All children will need to be accompanied by a grown-up.

Parking will be available in the Winterstoke Road car park on a first-come, first-served basis..
