Football League interactive (FLi) have promised to relax mobile restrictions to the club's official website this week.
For the past four weeks supporters trying to access bcfc.co.uk via their mobile phones - including smart phones such as iPhones and Android handsets - have been automatically redirected to the new mobile site.
The club has been testing the new mobile site and fans' feedback has been crucial to upgrades that are currently going on behind-the-scenes. Shortly all other clubs on the FLi network will go lives with the new-look mobile sites, and with this launch will come the inclusion of an option for fans to revert back to the full bcfc.co.uk site on their phones.
The full launch and subsequent update has been promised by the FLi this week.
A spokesman for FLi says: "We'd like to thank Bristol City supporters for their feedback. All changes should be implemented by middle of this week."
Meanwhile, Perform Group - the company that hosts the FLi websites - has apologised for the brief "outage" suffered by Player subscribers across the country on Saturday.
At around 2.40pm there was a major log-in issue for subscribers to all Player sites - not just City's. At 2.58pm Perform restarted their DNS server, allowed users the ability to log-in for ten minutes - and that was during a peak time. In total more than 12,000 commentary streams were accessed across the board in that ten-minute period.
The DNS server then started to fail again at 3.10pm, which meant log-in to Player was intermittent from 3.10pm to 3.45pm. Engineers were able to isolate and fix the issue at 3.50pm and their were no further issues in the second half.
Perform Group and FLi have issued an apology to subscribers for this downtime and inconvenience, and any subscriber affected should contact customerservices@performgroup.com where compensation via an extra week's subscription will be offered.
City's head of media Adam Baker said: "These issues have been very frustrating for the club because in both instances we have had our hands tied.
"I share with our supporters' frustrations and am glad Perform and FLi have responded with an imminent fix for the mobile and compensation for our dedicated Player subscribers."
Fans who suffer any further issues are urged to contact customerservices@performgroup.com, copying in media@bcfc.co.uk for reference.
