Cole Skuse is rated "very doubtful" for Saturday's trip to Ipswich Town.

The midfielder was stretchered off after just eight minutes of the weekend's 3-3 draw with Barnsley at Ashton Gate after suffering a knee injury.

Bristolian Cole went for a scan today and results show the problem won't be long-term.

Head physio Nick Dawes told bcfc.co.uk: "Cole has some swelling on his knee and some bone bruising, however, it's not as serious as it looked on Saturday.

"He's very doubtful for this weekend's game at Ipswich Town but if he does miss out then he certainly should be back for the Scunthorpe match (September 11th) after the international break."
