City have completed the signing of Bournemouth striker Brett Pitman for an undisclosed fee.

The 22-year-old has brought to an end his six-year association with Bournemouth to step into the npower Championship.

Jersey-born Brett - who has signed a three-year contract - arrives with a terrific goalscoring record in the lower leagues.

For the Cherries he notched 62 goals in 197 appearances, and also enjoyed highs and lows - spanning from promotion to administration.

Brett opted for a move to Bristol City ahead of the chance to move into the Premier League with Blackpool.

The deal is subject to Football League clearance.
