WEAR YOUR SHIRT TO WORK!

Posted on: Wed 18 Aug 2010

England 2018 is staging a national 'Wear Your Shirt To Work Day' on Tuesday, August 24th to mark 100 days to go until FIFA decide who will host the World Cup in 2018.

The FIFA delegation is due to touch down in England on Monday, August 23rd to commence their four-day inspection of the country and 'Wear Your Shirt To Work Day' offers a great opportunity for people to back the bid and show to FIFA England's incredible passion for football and support for the 2018 World Cup bid.

People up and down the country are being encouraged to don their football shirts in support of the day and as an England 2018 Candidate Host City, Bristolians are to help lead the way.

Bristol 2018 Bid Director Stephen Wray told bcfc.co.uk: "With a FIFA delegation visiting the country next week, it is vitally important that we show we are firmly committed to support England's 2018 World Cup Bid.

"Wear your Shirt To Work Day offers the city the great chance to show the FIFA inspection visit how passionate we are about bringing the 2018 FIFA World Cup to England and Bristol.

"Bristol City Council are fully supporting the campaign and we encourage companies from across the city and region to join in and wear your favourite team's shirt to work on August 24th."

Delegates from all of the Candidate Host Cities will have the opportunity to present to the FIFA inspectors when they visit next week, but it is on the 24 August where football fans can lend their support and swap their regular work attire for their favourite football strip.

England 2018 ambassador Rio Ferdinand said: "Wear Your Shirt To Work Day is a great chance for the entire country to get together as one team and back the bid. I can't wait to see so many people wearing their football shirts to work!"

So on Tuesday, August 24th wear your shirt to work and show your support for England 2018!

City's home and away shirts can be purchased via bcfcmegastore.co.uk or in store at Ashton Gate right.
