Keith Millen reflected on the last-gasp Billy Sharp penalty that denied him a debut win as City manager.
The Londoner took the reins following Steve Coppell's surprise resignation earlier this week, and looked to be set for three points in his first game in charge when Damion Stewart headed home at Doncaster shortly after half-time.
However, Jamie McAllister chopped down substitute James Coppinger in the box in the 90th minute and Sharp converted for a share of the spoils.
Speaking on Player after the game, Keith said: "There are a lot of disappointed faces in [the dressing room] and I couldn't ask anymore from them.
"We had a game plan and a shape and the lads were disciplined with it. We'd been working on set-pieces and thought we may get some joy from them so it was great when Damion (Stewart) headed in.
"We knew they would throw everything at us in the last ten minutes but I don't think Jamo (David James) had a save to make in the second half."

"Gavin Williams went through as well and if he'd scored then the game would have been put to bed.
"We knew they would throw everything at us in the last ten minutes but I don't think Jamo (David James) had a save to make in the second half.
"Unfortunately Jamie (McAllister) has brought their lad down in the last minute. We speak to defenders about staying on their feet around the box. I'm not blaming him, he's tried to win the ball but today it's cost us."
Asked about his first game in permanent charge, Keith said: "It was good when we were one-nil up! It's good because I know I've got a good group of players to work with."
The new boss is hoping to recruit some new players early next week, and expects his assistant manager to be named by Monday.
