BUSINESS LEADERS 2018 DINNER

Posted on: Fri 06 Aug 2010

Former Chelsea and Celtic star Paul Elliott, now a key member of the England 2018 board, will address local business leaders at a dinner held at Ashton Gate ahead of the England Under 21s game next Tuesday.

The event is being hosted by Bristol 2018 Business Leaders, a free network set-up by the Bristol 2018 bid team to support local businesses should England be successful in their bid to host the FIFA World Cup in 2018.

Delegates will be treated to a two course meal, match ticket, half-time refreshments, complimentary programme and glass of wine as well as having the chance to speak with Paul about the latest news from within the England bid.

The event begins at 5pm and costs just £50+VAT per person. Anyone wishing to attend the dinner needs to contact Bristol2018Business@bcfc.co.uk as soon as possible to secure their place.

Peter Smith, from Bristol 2018 Business Leaders, said: "We are delighted that Paul Elliott will be addressing our members next week.

"As a board member Paul is a very important member of the England bid and will be able to provide a valuable insight into what the bid will mean for local business.

"This is a fantastic opportunity for us all and a real boost to the Bristol part of the England 2018 bid.

"Hosting the World Cup will provide local businesses with fantastic opportunities but those opportunities need to be grasped and the best way is for us to plan together starting now.

"Business leaders attending the dinner next Tuesday will be fully updated about the England bid, be a step ahead of the rest when it comes to business opportunities and also able to see the future stars of English football."

Membership for Bristol 2018 Business Leaders is open now. The network currently has around 300 senior business members from across the region and last month hosted its launch event. For more information or to register please visit bristol2018.net/business.
