City have completed the loan signing of Wales international striker Sam Vokes from Wolves until January 5th.
The 20-year-old makes the switch in time to join the squad ahead of Saturday's season opener against Millwall at Ashton Gate.
Manager Steve Coppell told bcfc.co.uk: "Sam's been a player that has been a thorn in the side of my old team Reading over the years.
"He's always looked a handful and that's a good criteria. There are a number of forwards at Wolves and maybe opportunities there are limited.
"I speak with (Wolves manager) Mick (McCarthy) quite regularly and hopefully this deal will be of benefit to both clubs."
Sam - who takes squad number 33 - began his career at Bournemouth and caught the eyes with a solid goals tally, despite the Cherries' troubles.
Wolves signed the Southampton-born attacker in May 2008 for an undisclosed fee, handing him a four-year deal.
The majority of his appearances for the Premier League club have come from the substitutes bench, and his has six goals to his name.
Last season he enjoyed a loan spell at Leeds United, where he netted once in nine appearances.
Sam has 16 caps and two goals for Wales, following on from four goals and 14 appearances for the Under-21s.
The paperwork was filed with the Football League at 2.15pm and the deal is subject to clearance.
