VUVUZELA BANNED AT THE GATE

Posted on: Wed 04 Aug 2010

Bristol City FC can confirm the vuvuzela is banned at Ashton Gate.

The musical instrument came to prominence during the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa, splitting opinion amongst supporters and broadcasters.

Since many football clubs have banned the vuvuzela from stadiums ahead of the 2010/11 season.

The club has been subject to plenty of phonecalls and e-mails from supporters asking the club to ban the vuvuzela at Ashton Gate, and bcfc.co.uk can confirm City have imposed a ban.

If anyone is found in possession of a vuvuzela at Ashton Gate they will be asked to take it to the property room next to the Police box, where they can collect it again after the match.
