Gary Johnson predicts City will come up against a battling Plymouth Argyle tonight - and a monster pitch.
The City boss takes his troops on the road for a third successive Coca-Cola Championship clash this evening (kick-off 7.45pm).
And he believes both sets of players will compete fairly in a "passionate affair", although one that won't be aided by the playing surface.
He told Player: "Plymouth are fighting for their lives and they've got a few good results in the last few weeks.
"One of the major problems when you go down to Home Park is their pitch. It's wet and soggy, which makes it very difficult.
"I don't think Plymouth enjoy playing on their own patch either, but we need to look at that and adjust accordingly.
"If we can get a result then six points from three difficult away games would be a good return.
"At the moment they are below the relegation line and they'll be doing all they can to get out of the bottom three. For everyone else it's in your own hands.
"We don't particularly want one of our local rivals to go down but this is an important game for us and should be a passionate affair."
Liam Fontaine limped off with a thigh injury at Reading but should be fit if called upon tonight.
New Wolves loan recruit Stefan Maierhofer goes into the squad for the match.
