Stefan Maierhofer admits his loan switch to City has been a whirlwind one - but he's certainly excited to be given the chance to play games again.
The 27-year-old Austrian international has penned a 28-day emergency loan deal at Ashton Gate, replacing Wolves team-mate Chris Iwelumo, who has only just completed an identical spell with the club.
Out of the Premier League's side matchday squad since the turn of the New Year due to injury, Stefan looks at this latest development in his career with major excitement.
Speaking exclusively to Bristol City Player, Stefan said: "It's important to be playing games.
"I had ten days out in January after a hernia operation and haven't been back in the first team squad (at Wolves) since.
"I'm 27 years old and I want to be playing games. I'm happy to be here. I'm here for 28 days and hopefully I can help move the team up the league.
"I played two and a half years in Germany, which was perfect for me. I then spent a couple of years back in Austria, but the league there is small, similar to Scotland.
"It's always been my dream to play football in England. I've had a few games for Wolves; the atmosphere, the fans and the stadiums here are fantastic.
"I have no problem dropping down into the Championship to get games. This is still a very tough division. When I arrived here and saw the stadium, the superb pitch, it makes me hungry to play.
"I've had a quick pitch session with the gaffer this afternoon and hopefully I'll be involved in some part for tomorrow's game (versus Plymouth)."
The striker is reportedly the tallest footballer in the country and is regularly compared to an England international back in his home land.
He said: "I'm six-foot, seven-and-a-half and hopefully I'll be able to receive lots of crosses into the box to get on the end of.
"Many interviewers in Austria compare me to Peter Crouch.

"He's an unbelievable player - a very good striker who has scored lots of goals throughout his career.
"I work hard and give my best always. Technically I may not be the best footballer but I play with my heart and my soul to give my best for the fans and the club.
"I'll run for 90 minutes. I may be the tallest player (in English football) but it's important for me to score goals and play well."
Of his whirlwind day, Stefan added: "For me it's been a very quick move. I got the call last night about the possible move. I put all my things together in the car and drove down here to Bristol today.
"I feel good and if I'm involved tomorrow I'll give my all."
