City have completed the one-month emergency loan signing of Wolves striker Stefan Maierhofer.
The 27-year-old Austrian international forward goes straight into the squad for tomorrow night's Coca-Cola Championship match at Plymouth Argyle.
At six-foot, seven-and-a-half inches in height, Stefan is reportedly the tallest playing in English football.
Manager Gary Johnson told bcfc.co.uk: "We knew signing Stefan was an option available to us if Chris Iwelumo decided to return to Wolves.
"Stefan's a big forward with a very good CV. He's played a few games for Wolves to get used to the country.
"He comes highly recommended from Mick (McCarthy) and is a different type of player to that we already have in the squad."
The forward's big break came in 2007 when he joined German giants Bayern Munich. However, after being restricted to just a couple of appearances, he made the decision to move on to lower league German sides, Koblenz and Greuther Furth.
In 2008, Stefan switched to his home country and joined Rapid Vienna on loan, a deal later made permanent. In total he scoring 38 goals in 60 appearances, including two in Champions League qualifiers.
The Austrian's form helped him earn a move to newly-promoted Premier League side Wolves on transfer deadline day in August 2009. He has played nine times for the Black Country club, scoring once against Blackburn Rovers on his debut.
Stefan has ten caps for his country and one goal to his name - a first-minute strike agains the Faroe Islands last year.
The loan spans 28 days and runs through to April 11th.
