Gary Johnson says he has enjoyed promising dialogue with Mick McCarthy with regards to extending Chris Iwelumo's loan spell.
The City boss has seen the Wolves forward score twice in six outings during his month's loan spell with the club to date, with the final game of his current stint at Reading on Saturday.
Gary has already signalled his intentions to McCarthy to try and extend the loan deal, and he revealed today that a decision will be made after the Reading fixture.
He told Player: "I'm in dialogue with Mick McCarthy, let's say that. Chris' loan doesn't end until after the Reading game anyway.
"We've had a chat about a few variables and I'm happy with that. We've promised to speak to each other again on Sunday morning.
"We can't really discuss anything more until after the Reading game."
Jamie McAllister comes back into contention after playing 45 minutes of the reserve derby at Bristol Rovers last night.
There is bad news for James Wilson, however, after the defender limped out of the cup clash after half-an-hour. The Wales youth international jarred his knee and could be out for anything between three and six weeks.
Patrick Agyemang is still troubled by a groin problem, whilst Marvin Elliott (knee) and Evander Sno (back) could return to training shortly.
