Gary Johnson has praised the job done by his Reading counterpart Brian McDermott - but still has his eyes firmly set on wrecking the Royals current good run of form.
Reading have won six of their last seven league matches, including a 4-1 thrashing of Derby County on Wednesday evening, and reached the FA Cup quarter-finals.
Their position in the Coca-Cola Championship now appears a lot safer, although just four points separates them in 17th from Sheffield Wednesday - the current holders of the last relegation spot.
Gary told Player: "Reading have got their tails up at the moment and they're almost playing a 4-2-4 system.
"They go at teams and we have to be ready for that and be prepared to go at them when we have the ball.
"We beat Reading at the Madejski 2-0 last season when they were on a bad run and they took that home form into the new campaign. However, they've turned it around recently.
"There are still a number of teams in trouble and they're one of them, but they'll believe their current form will take them clear of danger.

"Brian's done a good job. They've gone back to their basic game and it's all about individuals getting at players.
"Their game is open but they do it very well. We have to be compact when we need to be, and able to open up when in possession."
Chris Iwelumo is set to play the last game of his month-long loan spell, although City hope to extend that after the weekend.
Jamie McAllister is back in contention after a calf problem. However, James Wilson (knee), Marvin Elliott (knee), Evander Sno (back) and Patrick Agyemang (groin) are all set to miss out.
