BRIAN RETURNS IN RESERVES

Posted on: Wed 10 Mar 2010

Brian Wilson is poised to make his long-awaited comeback from injury in this evening's Gloucestershire Senior Challenge Cup semi-final at Bristol Rovers.

The utility player broke his left shin bone back in October, on the back of a lengthy spell out with shin splints.

It's been a long, hard recovery for the former Cheltenham player, but he is expected to play around 20 minutes for the second string tonight.

Brian has been named on the substitutes bench, whilst four players with first-team experience - Jamie McAllister, James Wilson, Gavin Williams and John Akinde - start the cup fixture.

City Reserves: Bradley; Edwards, Ball, J.Wilson, McAllister; Artus, Lennox, Kington, Hennessy; Akinde, Livings. Subs: B.Wilson, Brunt, Muggeridge, Carey (gk).
