Nicky Maynard showed he is getting back to full fitness with two well taken goals in City's 3-0 win over Swansea this afternoon at Failand.

City took the lead after 14 minutes when Maynard rounded the keeper after a good through ball from Ivan Sproule.

Maynard doubled the advantage for City after 40 minutes when he was put through by a defence splitting pass by Joe Edwards and again rounding the Swansea shot stopper.

It wasn't until the 70th minute that the third and final goal came. Joe Edwards supplying a pin-point cross from the right wing to John Akinde who headed home.

Development coach Dave Lee said: "It was a good game played at a high tempo, the boys worked hard showing a good attitude and great desire to win."
