Gary Johnson admitted Dean Gerken had been his side's "hero" in the goalless draw with Ipswich Town.
The City manager watched the former Colchester United stopper pull off a string off second half saves to deny relegation-threatened Town at Portman Road.
Speaking on Player after the game, Gary said: "Deano has needed to come up with some fantastic saves, too many really.
"If you look at every goalkeeper, they all make mistakes, but it often shows up more because more often than not it leads to a goal.
"He doesn't make any more mistakes than anyone else and he was a hero today. We're very pleased that he was on form."

Of the goalless draw itself, the City boss said: "In the end we're happy with a point given the pressure they put us under in the second half.
"The lads worked hard, especially as we had a few that have been ill for a few days like Lee (Johnson) and Harts (Paul Hartley).
"We had a great chance in the second half of the first half when Chris (Iwelumo) had the chance from the header at the end of a great move. I thought it would be our goal and the game would have been different then but it wasn't to be.
"In the second half we were under enough pressure to be happy with a point."
Marvin Elliott missed the game due to a knee injury and the midfielder will see a specialist this week.
