GOAL-DEN WIN FOR CITY ... AND BEN!

Posted on: Mon 22 Feb 2010

City fan Ben Allam of Southville walked away from Sunday's game against West Bromwich Albion £389 richer after winning the club's half-time Goalden Takeaway draw.

Ben is the latest winner of the club's 50/50 matchday lottery which will continue at the Doncaster Rovers home game on Saturday, March 6th.

The winning number - 19892 - was drawn out by former City skipper Geoff Merrick.

The rules are the same as in previous seasons - tickets are on sale for £1 around the ground from vendors wearing distinctive yellow sweatshirts with the winner taking home a cheque for an amazing fifty per cent of the proceeds. Prizes MUST be claimed on the day to be valid.

Takeaway has handed out more than £8,000 in prize money so far this season, and raised more than £268,000 for the club since its inception in the 1990s.

See the Goalden Takeaway section for more information and previous winners.
