GARY: COUPLE OF WINS A MUST

Posted on: Tue 09 Feb 2010

Gary Johnson admits his side must start stringing together a good run of results if they want to keep their play-off dream alive.

At present the tight nature of the Coca-Cola Championship means eleventh-placed City are currently just five points off Leicester City - the team in sixth position.

"We need to get two wins on the trot very quickly now," the City manager told Player.

"We had a good chance to win on Saturday (against Coventry) because we had most of the play. We won the battle, kept the ball but where it's most important - sticking the ball in the back of the net - we couldn't do it twice.

"We must win a couple of games on the trot if we want to get within easy reach of the play-offs."

"We've got lots of games coming up now in quick succession and we've been working with the lads in the short time that we've got to try and right that.

"Hopefully someone will come up trumps for us. We'll look at the squad and we have options to make changes if we need to.

Nicky Maynard (dead leg) and Jamal Campbell-Ryce (calf) will both miss the game through injury, but Cole Skuse comes back into contention after a stomach problem.
