Jamie McCombe is unlikely to feature again for City this season.

The defender hasn't played for City since coming on as a substitute in the 3-1 win at Leicester City in December due to a knee problem.

Jamie has been in constant touch with medics and had an endoscope check on his knee last week.

Manager Gary Johnson told bcfc.co.uk: "We've missed Jamie, that big club in our golf bag.

"It just looks like his knee requires rest and we're unlikely to see him again for the rest of the season."

The City manager confirmed the former Scunthorpe and Lincoln centre-half is contracted at the club until the end of the 2010/11 season.
