Nicky Maynard has been shortlisted for the 2009 Mitre Goal of the Year award.

The striker's superb goal at QPR on Boxing Day is one of 20 shortlisted for the Goal honour at this year's Football League Awards, to be held in London on Sunday, March 14th.

Voting is now open online through Soccer AM's website - and everyone who casts a vote has the opportunity to enter a competition to win tickets to the Awards.

Voting closes on Monday, February 15th at 5pm, where the 20 goals will be slimmed down to the most popular five ahead of the Awards.
