WE SHOULD HAVE WON IT - GARY
Gary Johnson says City had enough opportunities to seal victory against Coventry City in their 1-1 draw at Ashton Gate.
The City boss was left ruing a host of missed chances in the Coca-Cola Championship fixture, in the end having to rely on David Clarkson's 83rd minute goal to earn a point.
Speaking on Player, Gary said: "I thought the players went out with the right attitude.
"I wanted to keep the shape that worked so well at Middlesbrough and I think our wing-backs got involved quite often. We had a lot of play in and around the penalty area without a bit of cleverness on the end of it.
"We never really tested their keeper enough for the possession we had, and that's been a bit of a trait of ours recently.
"We need to be scoring when we are on top and that was the only disappointment really. It was nice to come back from one-nil down, and we probably deserved to go on and win it with the amount of chances that went agonisingly past the post.
"We certainly deserved a draw at the very least, but you have to put the ball in the back of the net when you get the chance.
"Clarky had a header near the end that just dropped wide, and both Patrick (Agyemang) and Danny (Haynes) had shots just past the post. We had chances but at least we got the goal back."

"It was Clarky's kind of goal," said Gary. "He gets in that sort of position with his sixth sense. It will help him.
"Haynesy also livened things up when he came on. He's got that sort of pace to cause problems and chase down backpasses.
"I just felt that at the start we had enough play to win the game."
Jamal Campbell-Ryce pulled out 20 minutes before the game with a calf strain, whilst and Nicky Maynard was forced off in the second half with a dead leg.
City's medical team will now assess the pair before the Tuesday trip to Watford, but Cole Skuse should be available.
