CITY'S INTERNATIONAL QUARTET

Posted on: Mon 09 Nov 2009

Four City players will be representing their countries in international action this week.

Lewin Nytanga has been called into the full Wales squad for their friendly against Scotland at Cardiff City's new stadium.

However, Jamie McAllister, Paul Hartley and David Clarkson are all absent from the Scotland squad for a second successive time.

The Scotland squad will be utilising the club's training facilities at Failand though.

Meanwhile, Alvaro Saborio has jetted off to link up with Costa Rica for their crucial World Cup qualifying play-off double-header against Uruguay.

The Ticos host Uruguay on Saturday in San Jose, before a return leg in Montevideo next Wednesday. The winners qualify for the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.

Elsewhere, James Wilson - currently on loan at Brentford - and Christian Ribeiro are both in the Wales Under-21 squad for a UEFA qualifier against Bosnia & Herzegovina away on November 18th.
