PAUL ON HIS INTERNATIONAL FUTURE

Posted on: Tue 10 Nov 2009

Paul Hartley insists his international career isn't over, despite being absent from the latest Scotland squad.

The midfielder was absent from the squad for last month's international friendly with Japan in Yokahama.

And the 33-year-old has also missed out on a call up for Saturday's friendly clash with Wales at the new Cardiff City Stadium.

Speaking exclusively to bcfc.co.uk, Paul said: "I had a talk to (Scotland manager) George Burley before the last game against Japan and we said one or two things.

"I told him I'd always be available, but I think he is looking towards the future now.

"I wouldn't say it's the end [of my international career]. I'll always be available for Scotland, if it's right for myself."

Fellow City colleagues Jamie McAllister and David Clarkson also remain absent from the Scotland squad.
