WE NICKED A POINT - GARY
Gary Johnson felt his side "nicked a point" in their 1-1 draw with Sheffield Wednesday.
Nicky Maynard had put the home side in front on the hour but his former Crewe Alexandra team-mate Luke Varney earned the visitors a point with a smart finish 15 minutes from time.
After the game City's manager admitted his side had been fortunate to take a point.
"It was a poor home performance," he told Player. "We had everything going for us; our form, their form, a vociferous crowd.
"I said it might be frustrating because I felt Sheffield Wednesday would come with a 4-5-1 formation. However, it wasn't just defensively where they were decent, they also counter-attacked against us well.
"From start to finish it was a poor performance individually and as a team.

"You get these games at times and it's been a while since we've been like Fred Carno at the back, which we were today. Dean (Gerken) has saved us again with some smart saves.
"We looked all over the place. I suppose you could say we gained a point today because we were so poor. We nicked a point."
Nicky Maynard's goal was his tenth of the campaign and probably his first 'scrappy' finish this term.
"We weren't going to score an aesthetically pleasing goals today, that's for sure," added the manager.
"I'm pleased for Nicky but it's shame we once again didn't get that second goal, leaving us vulnerable."
Louis Carey was replaced at half-time after taking a whack, whilst Lee Johnson also made way.
"Louis wanted to carry on but he was feeling his back and we'd already decided to switch formation by then," Gary continued. "I thought Lee (Johnson) was having a poor game. I had to make a change."
