LIVE COMMENTARY BOOST FOR CITY
City fans will be able to listen to full live commentary of every one of the club's league and cup game on the radio and online this season.
Following lengthy negotiations involving the BBC, the Football League and clubs, it has been confirmed that full coverage of every City, Bristol Rovers and Yeovil Town match will be available on the radio throughout season 2009/10.
Geoff Twentyman, BBC Bristol sports editor, told bcfc.co.uk: "This is great news for football fans in the region.
"One of the things I have been aware of over the years is that some fans wanted commentary of every game. To achieve this is fantastic.

Geoff Twentyman: Delighted |
"These are changing times and the audience demands are far greater so it is pleasing to give people what they want. There will be one or two who don't get what they hope to as we are reliant on the reach of certain frequencies but all in all this is a brilliant development."
BBC Radio Bristol will broadcast the two Bristol club's commentaries on 94.9FM and 1548MW, dependent on which club is home or away. Yeovil commentaries will be broadcast in full on 95.5FM (BBC Radio Somerset).
Under this new arrangement, the BBC has agreed to continue its agreement with City's official website, bcfc.co.uk, to carry all its commentaries through Bristol City Player, the new improved service to replace World.
That means both PC and MAC users - at home or abroad, in fact anywhere in the world - will be able to listen to commentary from every game by signing up for Player. Click here for more details.
