City 3-1 Wycombe Wanderers
Adam Baker reports from Ashton Gate
City ended their pre-season campaign with a 3-1 victory over Wycombe Wanderers at Ashton Gate.
Bradley Orr netted the opener six minutes before half-time, but Matty Phillips brought the visitors level on the hour with a close range finish.
David Clarkson then headed in from Jamie McAllister's cross to make it 2-1 and after John Akinde had missed a spot-kick, Ivan Sproule wrapped up the victory late on.
Chris Zebrowski tested Dean Gerken from distance early on as City started slowly but as the half wore on they came into it more.

Bradley Orr curls in the opening goal at Ashton Gate |
Clarkson and Nicky Maynard both went close from 30 yards plus and Marvin Elliott just couldn't connect his head with a dangerous Paul Hartley cross on 23 minutes.
Danny Haynes and Elliott also took aim from long range as half-time approached, while Jamie McAllister headed narrowly wide.
Goalkeeper Scott Shearer had to be replaced on the half hour after a clash of heads with Elliott, and his replacement Jamie Young was soon beaten for the opener.
Young's weak punch clear dropped to the feet of Orr and the right wing-back delicately curled the ball over his head into the top corner from just inside the box.

David Clarkson celebrates after making it 2-1 to City |
Orr almost doubled his and City's tally three minutes after half-time when he latched on to Hartley's free kick but could only shoot into the body of Young.
The hour mark saw Wycombe draw level as Liam Fontaine was robbed by Zebrowski who in turn teed up substitute Carl Cort clean through down the right. Cort's cross was inch perfect for Phillips to convert at the back post.
Wycombe were on terms for just three minutes as Hartley brilliantly picked out McAllister and his pinpoint cross was converted by a Clarkson bullet header.
Young denied Maynard with a superb diving save and then Luke Oliver cleared Elliott's goalbound header off the line as Wycombe were on the rack.

Substitute Ivan Sproule rounds off the scoring late on |
A deflected Sproule shot wrong-footed the former Reading keeper with time ticking away but he somehow turned the ball behind with an outstretched boot.
With three minutes left Elliott was hauled down by John Mousinho. affording Akinde the chance to net against his former loan club from the penalty spot. However, Young guessed the right way, diving to his left to keep out the spot-kick.
But City weren't to be denied a third goal as Sproule beat the offside trap to latch on to Louis Carey's precise pass and coolly lift over Young in stoppage time.
