City have named two starting elevens for their pre-season trips to Weymouth and Dorchester Town.

Dean Gerken is fit again and is the only player to be pencilled in to feature in both matches at present.

City (v Weymouth): Gerken, Orr, Carey, J.Wilson, Fontaine, Sproule, Skuse, Johnson, McAllister, Clarkson, Maynard.

City (v Dorchester): Gerken, Ribeiro, McCombe, Nyatanga, Plummer, Hartley, Elliott, Williams, McIndoe, Akinde, Haynes.

Manager Gary Johnson explained to bcfc.co.uk: "Fans shouldn't read anything into the two line-ups.

"Except for Marvin Elliott, the team to face Dorchester is made up of players playing catch up; ones who have only just joined or have had an injury recently.

"We've worked those players very hard in training today and they will have tomorrow off, before playing 90 minutes at Dorchester on Wednesday.

"The players due to play against Weymouth are also pencilled in for 90 minutes."

The rest of the squad will improve their fitness back in Bristol, including Brian Wilson who is taking things slowly with his rehabilitation following shin surgery at the back end of last season.
