EXTENSIVE HEREFORD AWAY GUIDE

Posted on: Mon 13 Jul 2009

Hereford United v City at Edgar Street
Monday, July 13th at 7.45pm

Match Information

Gary Johnson will play a different team in each half. Paul Hartley is absent, while Christian Ribeiro, Jamie McCombe, Jamie McAllister and Gavin Williams may miss out through slight knocks.

New Hereford manager John Trewick has rebuilt his Edgar Street squad with the additions of Kenny Lunt (Sheffield Wednesday), Jamie Tolley (Macclesfield Town), Glenn Southam (Dagenham & Redbridge), Adam Bartlett (Kidderminster Harriers), March Pugh (Shrewsbury Town) and Leon Constantine (Northampton Town).

Stadium Information

The match will be played at Hereford's Edgar Street ground, which has a capacity of 8,843 - which could be cut by 2,000 if something goes wrong when City visit! The Blackfriars End could be closed if a planned evacuation drill (to meet health and safety regulations) at half-time doesn't see everyone leave the stadium in time. Full story.

City fans will be housed in the Cargill visitors enclosure, where seating and standing is available.

Ticket Information

Prices have been set at £8 for adults and £4 for concessions.

Travel Information

There are no official coaches, while train prices vary. For travelling by car the journey should take 1 hr and 24 mins (approx), head out of Bristol on the M32 and join the M4 westbound. Continue along the M4 until junction 21, where you should join the M48. After crossing the old bridge, leave the M48 at junction 2 and join the A466. Follow the A466 for around 17 miles - where you should turn right onto the A40. After another 5 miles, turn onto the A4137 and continue on this road until the junction with the A49. Now join the A49 northbound and follow this road into Hereford centre (approx ten miles along). There is ample pay-for parking at the ground.

Match Coverage

No live coverage, but extended highlights will be available on Bristol City World. Check out bcfc.co.uk for match report and reaction.
