Scott Murray may have only just left City for Yeovil - but he's already concentrating on facing his old club in pre-season.

The winger today agreed a one-year deal with the Glovers, who are scheduled to host City in a friendly match at Huish Park on July 28th.

And speaking exclusively to bcfc.co.uk today, Scott said: "That's the first thing I thought about when speaking to Skivo - playing against Bristol City in a friendly.

"It's going to be interesting, a bit of fun. I've never played against City ever, even when I went to Reading, so it's going to be weird facing up against all the lads.

"I'm looking forward to it."

"That's the second time Andy Jordan's stitched me up; the last time was when he told me to tap my head if I scored at Cardiff."

Scott also revealed he had turned down overtures from Exeter City and their manager Paul Tisdale before signing at Huish Park.

He continued: "It's been two months since it all ended with City and I'm just glad to get things sorted. The move to Yeovil is just down the motorway, which is perfect because I didn't want to move."

But Scott says there was never any chance of him joining Swindon Town or Bristol Rovers - as had been rumoured elsewhere.

"Andy Jordan (ex-City player) started the rumour about Bristol Rovers on Facebook," Scott grinned. "He posted 'congratulations about your contract with Rovers' and I think a few fans got taken in by the joke. One even warned me to watch my back!

"That's the second time he's stitched me up; the last time was when he told me to tap my head if I scored at Cardiff. I have to get him back somehow."

That's not quite it for Scott and his association with City. "John Clayton (Academy manager) has asked me to continue to help out with the Academy and I'm happy to do that," he said.

Everyone at Bristol City Football Club would like to wish Scott - who has finally chopped his hair - all the best with his move to Yeovil.
