And speaking exclusively to Bristol City World, Andre said: "This is a very big move for me.

"I've not played a first team game yet, and for the gaffer to sign me and give me the chance to show what I can do is great.

"I want to express myself and show that I can be ready for first team football. It's a big move in general."

Andre, who plays prodominently at left-back but also on the left-wing, is currently recovering from an ankle injury.

"I'm working every day with the medical team and the aim is to be fit near the end of July," he added.

"I can't wait to get out there and play, I just have to get over my injury first."

The defender also admits he has been boosted by the growing number of promising players already at Ashton Gate.

Christian Ribeiro, James Wilson, Jordan Walker, John Akinde, Frankie Artus and Tristan Plummer have been joined by Joe Edwards, Marlon Jackson and Ashley Kington in the first-team fold.

Andre continued: "Being around these other young players who have been in and around the first team certainly rubs off on you.

"It's been good to meet them and it makes me feel welcome here."
