Gary Johnson says City are still on track with regards to signings.

The manager recently revealed on bcfc.co.uk that he was "close" with two recruits, and not too far away with a further pair.

And speaking to bcfc.co.uk today, Gary revealed: "We're still in the race with the players.

"Our supporters understand why we don't mention any names, it wouldn't be right to do that yet, but rest assured we are working very hard behind the scenes.

"It's very close now."

He added: "There is a lot of speculation in the papers at the moment and there are a lot of players that we are said to be interested in that we aren't.

"A lot of people like to drum up a bit of business by speculating on their own players and agents often like to do so as well.

"We'll keep things under our hat and reveal things when it's the right time."
