There may be no action on the pitch at present, but Ashton Gate Stadium is still a hive of activity during the close season.

And that's thanks to the ever-popular Dolman Exhibition Hall, which is in regular use throughout the year - even after the final ball has been kicked in the football season.

The Hall boasts 1,700 square metres of open space with no obstructions or pillars, with plenty of natural daylight and is fully air-conditioned.

That makes it the ideal venue for exhibitions, conferences and large special events.

Recently the Hall has played host to a vast array of events, from Phil Taylor's exhibition darts night to 600 Bristol University students sitting their crucial exams over a two-week period.

In the hot summer months the Hall is an especially popular venue for weddings, including receptions, and last week played host to an extravagant Asian wedding (pictured top right) for 600 guests.

As for exhibitions, the Hall has catered for the Bristol Evening Post's huge West Wedding Show, The Little Monster Baby, Toddler and Women's Shows, plus the 2009 PHEX (Plumbing and Heating Exhibition) which has previously been held at Manchester United's Old Trafford and Chelsea's Stamford Bridge.

Coming up the Hall is hosting an Only Fools and Horse convention, Punch Taverns public house exhibition, as well as planning ahead for the Christmas Party season.

And on a topical note, the Hall will host the European Election vote count for Bristol this weekend!

The Hall is largest of the stadium's nine various-sized function rooms. Across the stadium in the Williams Stand, there is the Premier Lounge and Premier Suite - popular for seminars, conferences, small exhibitions and party celebrations.

The stadium's Directors Suite and Boardroom are also available for hire - suitable for smaller meetings and presentations.

Also look out for Queen tribute act Monarchy playing at the stadium in December.
