Gary Johnson has warned his players to be ready for an early onslaught from Burnley in their final day fixture at Turf Moor.
City's competitive season finished a fortnight ago, but the Clarets' campaign is still very much alive.
Currently in a play-off position, Burnley will be involved in the end of season play-offs with victory over City. Any other result would leave the door open for Preston North End to steal sixth spot with a win over QPR.
Speaking ahead of the game, City's manager told Bristol City World: "We expect a high tempo from Burnley; they'll come at us early.
"I'm sure they won't want to leave it late to try and get a goal, with everyone glued to radios for scores from elsewhere.
"We have to do a job for ourselves, respect the League as much as we can to try and win the game.
"We haven't slowed up the pace of training in any way because we want them up for this game like any other.
"It's nothing to do with being party-poopers, I wouldn't say that. We're not going there to stop Burnley, we're going there for a win for our own purpose.
"It's the last game of our season and we want to go into the long summer on the back of a win."
Louis Carey (rib) remains sidelined through injury, but Bradley Orr is back in the squad after injury.
