The nominations for Supporter of the Year are in...and bcfc.co.uk details the trio below.
Jeremy Tocknell
Nominated by Luke Manuel.
My fan of the year is Jeremy Tocknell.
He goes to every game no matter how far, or if it is a day or night game.
Also at Doncaster away he made his 1500th game in 20 - 25 years.
That is why I believe he is Bristol City's fan of the year.
Jon Darch
Nominated by Joel McWilliams, Alex Hendy, Nick Tomkins, Miles Hendy
Jon is a vocal and ardent City fan, season ticket holder and regular away supporter.
In the past year, as an active member of the Supporters Trust, he has given his time freely to help the Club develop the Loyalty Scheme, generated fund raising initiatives for the fans forum and run the Trust's website.
Jon has been the driving force behind the Trust's new stadium consultations. He has converted the opinions of almost 5,000 fans from three surveys into easily readable summaries, and has participated actively in meetings with the Club and Stadium architects to ensure that key messages are heard, and bringing constructive solutions and ideas to those discussions.
Sean Takle
Nominated by Paul Escott, Dru Harries, Huw Griffiths, Stuart Collins, Dan Blake, Stephen Rich, Bill Ford, Dorothy East, Emma Rich
We would like to nominate Sean Takle for the title of Bristol City Supporter Of The Year 2008/09.
Sean was instrumental in the reopening of the East End and has been a key figure in generating a noisy, colourful atmosphere within that stand this season.
His understanding yet persistent approach has led to the East End becoming a fun and lively place that has brought a desperately needed atmosphere to the club, which has lifted and supported the team.
It's clear that the players and manager truly appreciate the effort from everyone within the East End in raising the noise levels all around the ground, and Sean can be rightly proud of his hard work that helped to make it all possible.
The winner will be announced at the annual awards and presentation evening, sponsored by Future TV, to take place on Thursday, May 7th.
The bash, to be held in the Evening Post Dolman Exhibition Hall, will again include a video review of the season, sporting raffle and presentation of awards including player of the year, young player of the year and top goalscorer.
