Louis Carey's two-match suspension comes at just the wrong time for the City skipper.
After collating ten cautions for the season against his old club Coventry City on March 10th, Louis is the first City player this season to be handed a two-game ban.
He will sit out Saturday's trip to Queens Park Rangers, but with the international break on March 28th, will have to wait until the home game with Preston in early April to complete his suspension.
It means Louis will next be available for City against Nottingham Forest on April 11th - a whole 27 days after his last outing against Cardiff!
Bradley Orr is the only other City player close to a two-game ban - currently residing on nine cautions for the campaign.
The FA procedures means any player shown five yellow cards between the start of the season and the end of February receive a one-match ban - with no punishment after that date for accruing five cautions other than a severe censure letter.
Players receive a two-match ban if they receive ten cautions between the start of the season and April 12th. After that date players again receive a severe censure letter if they surpass the ten-caution mark.
