Louis Carey will miss City's home game with Burnley after collecting his fifth booking of the season in the 3-1 defeat at Ipswich Town.

The City skipper is already rated doubtful for the trip to Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday, after limping off at half-time at Portman Road with a dead leg.

But he will certainly miss the Burnely game at Ashton Gate on Saturday week due to a one-match suspension.

Ivan Sproule, meanwhile, will not serve a ban as his 90th minute caution at Ipswich was his fourth of the season, not his fifth as has been reported elsewhere.
