I'm looking forward to the revamped annual meeting on Thursday evening.
With the everyday business for shareholders being carried out in the morning, chairman Steve Lansdown has decided to open out the evening session to other key stakeholders: members of the Supporters Trust, Supporters Club and City Foundation.
Steve will make a short presentation, and this will be followed by a Question & Answer session with the chairman and manager Gary Johnson. Please try and get there by 7pm for a 7.30pm start.
Some season card holders have asked if they can attend, but with over 14,000 of you, it might be a problem squeezing everyone in. We hope to hold another event in the new year which will be open to other supporters groups.
Many thanks to all those who e-mailed their thoughts on a proposed car park at the old Megabowl site opposite Ashton Gate.
After considering the responses, we have decided not to go ahead with the work, which would have cost the club several thousand pounds, with no certainty that this could be recouped.
We always do our best to work with supporters before making decisions that affect them. As ever, I am always happy to receive any suggestions you might have as to how we can improve the service we offer you.
I had a really interesting meeting with representatives from the National Literacy Project and the Supporters Trust yesterday.
The NLP were visiting Ashton Gate as part of their ongoing work with our Study Centre. You may have been one of the supporters who took advantage of their free book giveaway before the Watford game.
We are also working with them on an exciting new project which will give all City fans the opportunity to write about what being a City fan means to them, and having their stories published in a book.
Watch out for more details in the next few weeks.
