City Under-18s bagged their second straight FA Premier Academy League win thanks to Rob Stambolziev's late goal downed Cardiff City.

The game at the new Failand training ground on the day City chairman Steve Lansdown officially opened the new facilities - meaning a larger than usual crowd.

After a poor first half, City went in front on the hour when defender Chris Williams found the net.

Cardiff pulled a goal with ten minutes left and looked to have earned a share of the spoils, only for Stambolziev to strike with just two minutes to play.

City also gave a debut to Chelsea trialist goalkeeper Aldi Haxia, an Albanian.

City Under-18s: Haxia; Hennessy, Boon, Williams, Dunn; Kington, Edwards, Lennox (Livings 75), Stambolziev; Plummer, Jackson.
