JAMIE CONTINUES COMEBACK
Jamie McCombe continued his rehabilitation from a serious facial injury by playing 90 minutes of a behind-closed-doors friendly at Ashton Gate this afternoon.
The six-foot, five-inch defender has been out of action since being stretchered off following a collision with Derby County defender Claude Davis on August 16th.
He was diagnosed with a fractured cheekbone and underwent surgery before returning to full-contact training last week.
City boss Gary Johnson told bcfc.co.uk: "Jamie played a full 90 minutes and came through the game unscathed.
"He was one of a number of players near the first team who managed to get a decent competitive work out."
Frankie Artus (hamstring), Steve Brooker (achilles), Christian Ribeiro (cruciate ligament) and Cole Skuse (back) remain sidelined with injury.
