City will wear black shirts, white shorts and white socks at Sheffield United on Saturday.

It will be the first time City have to don their third shirt this season, as the Blades wear red and white striped tops. With black shorts and socks, City will change to white.

City wore black in a 1-1 pre-season friendly draw at Cheltenham, but their last competitive outing in that colour was at Crystal Palace in the Championship play-offs - where David Noble's stunning goal earned a 2-1 victory.

City will be backed by more than 650 fans in Yorkshire - where pay on the day entry is now in operation in the away end.

The club plans to update fans on chosen kit colours for all away trips in 2008/09. This follows several requests from supporters who like to colour match when they travel away from home.
