Scott Murray has joined Cheltenham Town in an initial one month emergency loan deal.

The experienced winger joins the League One club on the same day that Martin Allen has been appointed their new manager.

Scott could make his Cheltenham debut in tomorrow night's hotly-anticipated derby against Bristol Rovers at Whaddon Road.

The 34-year-old has yet to make a first team appearance this season, being restricted to reserve team action after recovering from a broken wrist injury.

Scott is one of four players currently out on loan, with Frankie Artus and James Wilson at Brentford, and Tristan Plummer at Luton Town.

Jennison Myrie-Williams today returned to Ashton Gate following a month's loan spell at Cheltenham.
